FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Friendship Concerts are free! Tickets for Ceremonies, Competition Day Passes, Workshops, and evening Concerts can be purchased through our website. Select the type of event you want to attend, then look at the individual listings. Find the "Buy Tickets" button at the bottom of each event's page.

    All Ceremonies, Competitions, Concerts and some Workshops are ticketed by Ticketmaster:

    Book through our Programme pages, phone 0800 111 999 or 09 970 9700, or visit the Aotea Centre Box Office at 50 Mayoral Drive, Aotea Square

    If you're buying three or more events at a time, please call their customer service line to book and save on booking fees.

    All other workshops are ticketed by Q Theatre. Book through our Programme pages or phone 09 309 9771.

    Door sales are available at each venue at least one hour before the event starts.

  • There are over 40 countries participating in the World Choir Games 2024.

  • For registered choirs, information on your schedule will come from INTERKULTUR. If you’re attending the Games as a supporter or audience member, you can see what days each competition category is scheduled for here.

  • Competitions, concerts and workshops will take place in a range of central-city venues, opening, awards and closing ceremonies are at Spark Arena and free daytime Friendship Concerts are being held right across Tāmaki Makaurau.

  • Over the 11 days of the Games, free day-time Friendship Concerts will take place all over Tāmaki Makaurau.

    Also on offer for audience is the Parade of Nations, a lively street parade which will open the second part of the Games.

    More information on the Friendship Concerts and Parade of Nations will be available in June.

    There are lots of mobility parking at The Civic parking space, which offers 2 hours free to pass holders, free past 6pm, and free all day on weekends.   • For the competition sessions, you will be admitted at the end of each choir’s performance.

    For the concerts, you will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance.

  • There is no dress-code for the Games. You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

  • Yes. Tickets are available at each venue at least one hour before an event. Please note box offices close half an hour after Concerts, Ceremonies, and Workshops begin.

  • Yes. All children require a ticket. We have special Child prices (13 years and under) on all events except Workshops.

  • The World Choir Games are committed to ensuring the health and wellness of all participants, patrons, staff, volunteers, and contractors.

    Colds, flu, and other respiratory illnesses pose an enduring threat to public health. We are taking the following approach at the World Choir Games 2024 to help keep everyone who joins us safe from COVID-19 and other viruses or diseases.

    • we ensure that all Games venues are well-ventilated and regularly cleaned;

    • we ask people not to attend the Games if they are feeling unwell;

    • we welcome mask wearing at the Games and will have a supply of masks at all venues as an option to keep people safe;

    • we ask that people sanitise their hands regularly while at the Games and will have hand sanitiser available at all venues;

    • we will endeavour to exchange tickets for a different date of the same performance where capacity and time allow.

    If you do test positive for COVID-19, we ask that you follow Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand’s COVID-19 guidelines and isolate for at least five days.
